From Staff Reports
It is time to begin thinking of that individual you would like to be named Coweta Citizen of the Year for 2013.
The selection committee is hard at work to announce how applications for this prestigious title will be received in written form or via online submissions.
The public is encouraged to nominate individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and citizenship within the community, as well as those who have demonstrated exemplary vision, civic pride and a strong commitment to a better Coweta.
The nominee should live in Coweta County, and his/her activities should be centered in Coweta County and the surrounding area. Selection will be based upon leadership and performance in multiple areas of community service over a period of years. It may be an individual from any walk of life, and there are no requirements or restrictions relating to gender, age, race, religion or ethnic origin.
By Nov. 19 nomination information and the application forms will be available at the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, 23 Bullsboro Drive in Newnan and on the Chamber’s website, newnancowetachamber.org . All nominations must be returned to the Chamber by Dec. 14.
