• Warm coat, blanket drive ongoing for low-income seniors

The Perpetual Community Resource Centre in Newnan has created a simple way to make this season a little warmer in order to meet needs in the community. The group invites area residents to partner with them for the Winter Coat & Blanket Drive program.

The Coat and Blanket Drive will run until Dec. 3. The distribution date will be Dec. 16. The group will distribute the coats and blankets during its “Warm Hearts” Christmas Dinner.

This program will serve those who are homeless, low-income seniors, adults with disabilities and families with children.

All donors have to do is gather new or gently-used blankets and coats in the box that the program will provide, then call to make arrangements for pick-up.

If you are willing to partner with the group, please call 678-634-6232 or by email to: perpetualcrc@gmail.com to coordinate delivery of the collection box.
