Non-profit pregnancy services program has new director

Cindy Coggin Hughes was recently named Director of Coweta Pregnancy Services (CPS) in Newnan.

Hughes is a native of Newnan and graduate of Newnan High School. A trained ultrasound technologist, Hughes completed her internship at Coweta Pregnancy Services in 2009. She returned to CPS in 2011 as a part-time sonographer. During the last year, she has assisted with fundraising events for the center and is a trained counselor.

“I really see the impact we make on the lives of the parents and their children,” said Hughes. “I know this is where God wants me to be.”

Hughes and her daughter, Savanna, live in Newnan and are members of Crossroads Church.

According to Hughes, the vision for the ministry is to continue empowering men and women to choose life, find healing, and adopt and parent as well. The mission is also to educate and support individuals to make positive sexual and emotional choices.

“We have a very supportive board of directors, an amazing staff and group of volunteers who provide an excellent level of service to the community,” said Hughes.
