Guardrail work on Interstate 85 in Coweta County is scheduled for Thursday (Oct. 4), part of a multi-county project this week by Georgia Department of Transportation crews.
The guardrail facelift work began Sunday and was scheduled to run through Friday in several counties, weather permitting.
A section of I-85 southbound in Coweta is included.
Contractors for the Georgia DOT have scheduled lane and shoulder closures for the guardrail repairs.
The work Thursday in Coweta is along I-85 southbound at mile marker 48. The scheduled work is planned from 7-9 p.m., near Exit 47 at the State Route 34/Bullsboro Drive exit.
Crews will be working in half mile to 1 mile increments and relocating frequently. Motorists should be alert to changing work patterns.
