“I would like to reiterate that all community members are welcome to attend,” D’Spain said. “This is not a ‘Democrats only’ event.”
D’Spain stressed the debate gatherings are “sponsored by me but not for me.” Her goal is for the communal debate watching to be “for everyone in the community who is interested in this vital decision,” she said.
“These events are expected to be peaceful, respectful and bi-party,” D’Spain said. “The election is about everyone.”
Meals will be dutch treat.
The first presidential debate – on domestic policy – will be held Wednesday. The Oct. 11 debate will have the vice presidential candidates debating foreign and domestic topics.
