No one was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday on Georgia Hwy. 16 West near the Little Giant grocery shopping center, according to Assistant Chief Mitch Coggin of the Coweta County Fire Department.

Two vehicles, a dump truck and passenger van, were involved in the collision. Coggin said the wreck did not appear serious.

“Both vehicles left the roadway, but they did not slide down an embankment,” Coggin said. “They both stopped on the side of the road.”

There was no entrapment of either driver, according to Coggin. The driver of the dump truck did not need medical treatment. The driver of the van was taken to the hospital for precautionary purposes, but did not appear to be seriously injured, Coggin said.
