A group of Coweta County educators were among those honored at the recent Graduate Reception at LaGrange College.

Seven Coweta County School System employees recently graduated from LaGrange’s specialist in education program.

The reception was held July 19, at the Callaway Auditorium at LaGrange College.

A group of Newnan High faculty – Samantha Allen, Scott Barnett, Sallie Kight, Lynne Owens and Susan Roach – did their EdS project on flexible grouping within the secondary mathematics classroom.

Each focused on a different perspective of flexible grouping. Teresa Clements, who teaches at Arnco-Sargent Elementary, did her EdS project on co-teaching using guided mathematics groups. Marilyn Stamps’ project focused on strategies for teaching reading fluency and comprehension.

Stamps is on the faculty at Evans Middle School.
