'Sick leave bank' on tonight's Coweta school board agenda

The Coweta County Board of Education will meet today at 6:30 p.m. at the school system's Jackson Street offices in Newnan.

The school board is expected to discuss a "sick leave bank" committee and to approve a lease agreement with Community Action for Improvement.

The board will also discuss approval of an E-rate funding application.

Northgate High School will request permission for a group of yearbook students to visit and tour Taylor Publishing Company in Dallas, Texas on June 7-9, 2010, at no cost to system, with no school days missed.

Also on the agenda is recognition of Northgate High School student Zachery Banks and the announcement of the "Bronze Award" for Northgate.

Superintendent Blake Bass is expected to discuss a video highlighting the Central Educational Center. Keith Chapman will deliver a budget report and Jerry Davis is expected to deliver a facility construction report.

Board member Harry Mullins will give a report on the safety committee.
