Stolen security camera works

Although many unusual events are reported by the media every week, I thought this one had to win the prize.

I heard that somewhere in this zany land of ours, a man was photographed and caught while trying to steal a security camera.

It wasn't the kind of picture he wanted to send to his mother. Just like a mother, she might say, "Son, I received the picture you sent me. I noticed you didn't smile much."

Still, the police, who arrested him, said they could make good use of it. Of course, with the kind of occupation he has chosen for himself, you would think he would be the kind of fellow who doesn't like to have his picture made.

I cannot help but wonder how frequently this kind of thing occurs. How often is a burglar apprehended while attempting to steal a burglar alarm?

I guess you could say it's a picture of what is happening in today's world, and it's not a very encouraging picture.

However, it does serve to underline the truth of the old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words," especially if the words are from the mouth of a thief protesting his innocence, even though he is caught in the act.

If photographed at the scene of the crime, I don't know how you could come up with a convincing defense. Even if his picture was made in black and white, he was caught red-handed.
