Church signs are amusing, inspiring

I am always amused and inspired by reading the signs outside church buildings. We would be blessed by taking them to heart and remembering as many of the words as we can:

Free trips to heaven — details inside.

It is not altogether free — you must first of all give yourself.

People are like tea bags —you have to get them in hot water before you know how strong they are.

If you cannot sleep, don’t count sheep — talk to the Shepherd.

When “down in the mouth” do not despair. Remember the same thing happened to Jonah and “he came out all right.”

“God so loved the world” that He did not send a committee.

He sent His only begotten Son -- the Savior of the world.

Fight “truth decay” by daily studying your Bible.

Go to work for the Lord. The hours are long, the pay is small, the demands are heavy, but the retirement benefits are “out of this world.”

If you are headed in the wrong direction on the roads of life you have chosen to take, don’t forget this. God allows U-turns.

Bad “attituditis” is one of the worse ailments you can possibly have, but the Great Physician of the Bible, if you will go to Him, offers a full and lasting cure.
