On Oct. 13, the Kiwanis Club opened its hearts and donated its time to open the Coweta County Fair for the special needs children of the county. Several rides were open and the fair employees were very patient as the children were loaded and unloaded.
The gentleman that performed with his 12 dogs was wonderful at interacting with the students. The Kiwanis members were helpful, answering any questions we had and providing a hot dog lunch for all the students.
Our daughter teaches at Lee Middle School, and I went along as a class chaperone. I can tell you the students had a wonderful time and many of them would not have had the opportunity to attend the fair without the caring and giving of the Kiwanis.
Thanks to all of you.
