When Obama was campaigning, he promised to cut taxes for those making less than $250,000 annually. Some have had a tax cut but not everyone he promised. He said he would raise rich people's taxes, large corporations and oil companies' taxes. When corporations are taxed, who pays these taxes -- the ones who use their products. People pay about 50 percent of their income for taxes now. Mostly through hidden taxes.
When you buy a new car, those who make the metal pay taxes, parts manufacturers pay taxes, car manufacturers pay taxes and dealers pay taxes. All of these taxes are passed down and the buyer pays the taxes. The other taxpayers just collect the tax money from you to pay these taxes. The same is with anything else you buy.
The new energy tax Obama is trying to get Congress to pass will be paid by you and me. This will raise our taxes. Don't blame Obama and Congress for these new taxes. Blame us for electing them.
We need to vote against everyone who holds office now. We need a term limit of eight years for those we elect. After they serve their term, we thank them and pay them no pension. They pay and collect Social Security just like everyone else. Considering their salaries, their office help, their office space, their travel allowances, and their health care, how many millions of dollars do these 535 congressmen and all of their help cost the U.S. taxpayer?
