Questions for politicians

Just a day after announcing a record deficit projected for Fiscal Year 2009, why is the president giving $48 billion for more AIDS research?

Why do earmarks continue despite a $9.5 trillion national debt?

If our presidential candidates have such great ideas to solve our nation's problems, why aren't they proposing them in the form of legislation, since they are both sitting senators? Why wait until after the election?

Why are the chairmen of the House and Senate Budget Committees blaming the president for record spending and deficits when the Constitution dictates that the House and Senate control the purse strings of our country?

Why can't politicians put aside personal aspirations and approve term limits? That way, politicians can focus on doing what's best for the country instead of focusing on getting re-elected.

Why should politicians be allowed to accept campaign contributions from sources outside their home state?

Why is Congress not adhering to the pay-as-you-go provisions implemented in the mid-1980s?

Why do the states have to provide the leadership and resources for programs and initiatives that are the responsibility of the federal government?

Why not send all the politicians home this fall and give some new folks a chance? We know what the incumbents have already done to us.
