Obama fails the test

Sunday’s May 12 editorial is an insult to anyone who understands history and has sacrificed for America.

Before WWI, Germany was a monarchy. After the war, it became a Democratic Republic as a result of the Treaty of Versailles and Germany’s agreement that it would pay war reparations to the Allies to the tune of $33 billion. This caused rampant, excessive inflation and the German mark became worthless, causing massive unemployment, starvation and the inability of the average family to keep their homes, jobs, etc.

Hitler’s German Democratic Workers Party (NAZI) came into being and he was, in turn, voted into office and eventually became the chancellor of Germany - duly elected. He then began programs to rebuild his adopted country by building roads, bridges, ships, the Volkswagen (People’s Car), thus creating millions of jobs. He was a hero to the German people (Why not?) even though he excoriated the Jews, whom he blamed for many of the problems. Germans were ecstatic, they had money, jobs and a future because of Hitler.

He was elected but made himself the dictator and they loved him for it.

However, once he was in office he began initiating his programs and we all know (at least most of us) what happened. Many realized their mistake, but it was too late.

Obama has abused his power since the day he was elected and only now are some responsible news media people beginning to see who he really is. Just look at his past friendship with radicals (Ames, Rev. Wright). Then think of Benghazi, the IRS situation, spying on the Associated Press, guns to Mexican criminals, the Attorney General’s approach to state legislation he disagrees with, illegal immigration, pardons for votes … the list goes on.

So don’t expect reasonable, educated citizens to buy your editorial premise because it’s a very inaccurate portrayal about who Obama really is - an active socialist who has bowed to our enemies and does not represent me in any possible way. His use (abuse) of executive privilege is beyond belief, all to ensure his administration operates like the Chicago he came from. Martin Luther King Jr. said something like “Don’t judge a person by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.” That’s how I judge Obama, and he fails the test.
