An act of kindness
On Monday, March 10 at 11 a.m., I was going to Oak Hill Cemetery to visit my husband’s grave. I had planned to use the entrance next to the church, but there were two police cars and four policemen there; therefore, I proceeded to the next entrance.
After my visit, I saw that I would be able to get by the police cars and exit at the church. I spoke to the policemen and one of them asked me which way I needed to turn. I needed to go left.
Much to my amazement, two of the policemen got out in the street and stopped traffic in both directions so that I may turn. This was an act above and beyond their call of duty.
I hope that they and Chief Meadows will read this so that they will know how appreciative I was of their act of kindness.
