Longtime Newnan corporate citizen expanding operations
For more than half a century, Bonnell Aluminum has been one of Newnan’s best known and most respected corporate citizens with a firm commitment to this community.Bonnell began operations in Newnan in 1953. On this 60th year of doing business in our community, the company has announced plans to invest $17 million during the next 12 months for an expansion project that will include a new aluminum extrusion line to help meet a growing demand from automotive and light truck equipment manufacturers.
Lightweight aluminum extrusions will help the auto industry reduce the weight of vehicles and thus help meet more stringent fuel-efficiency requirements.
Start-up for the expanded operation is scheduled in early 2014.
