Longtime Newnan corporate citizen expanding operations

For more than half a century, Bonnell Aluminum has been one of Newnan’s best known and most respected corporate citizens with a firm commitment to this community.
Bonnell began operations in Newnan in 1953. On this 60th year of doing business in our community, the company has announced plans to invest $17 million during the next 12 months for an expansion project that will include a new aluminum extrusion line to help meet a growing demand from automotive and light truck equipment manufacturers.
Lightweight aluminum extrusions will help the auto industry reduce the weight of vehicles and thus help meet more stringent fuel-efficiency requirements.
Start-up for the expanded operation is scheduled in early 2014.
This is good news for the economy of Newnan and Coweta County. Once again Bonnell is adapting to the demands of the marketplace and once again showing its commitment to our community by expanding its operations here.
