Citizen of the Year nominations needed

One of the most prestigious annual awards presented in our community is the Coweta Citizen of the Year honor, and now is the time to make nominations for this year’s award.
The Selection Committee, which includes past winners, is anxious to get nominations in writing by the Dec. 14 deadline. The award will be presented during a Feb. 7 reception at the Coweta County Fairgrounds. The four Kiwanis Clubs in this county will be hosts for this reception.
The public is encouraged to nominate individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and citizenship in the community and has championed a strong commitment to a better Coweta. Nominees should be Coweta residents.
Nomination information and applications are available at the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, 23 Bullsboro Drive, and on the Chamber website at www.newnancowetachamber.org .
We encourage Cowetans to nominate outstanding citizens for this distinguished award. Don’t forget the deadline is Dec. 14.
