Another view of our country

A letter writer said it is a bargain that every American is only saddled with $54,000 per person on the debt and that the $16 trillion is from the last 236 years of running the government.
In the last four years, the debt has increased over $6 trillion. Welfare cost since 1966 has been more then all the wars America has been involved in the last 236 years.
The latest figures on what each person owes on the debt is over $60,000. But if you figure only half the nation pays personal income taxes then the debt for 50 percent of the nation is over $120,000.
The writer also says for that $54,000, our children and grandchildren will inherit the world’s best economy. He might want to look around, since we borrow billions from the Chinese. The education system is not free and not the best in the world, and the military is being gutted along with NASA.
As far as taking care of our own, the people in the Northeast may not agree with that comment that anyone in the world would be happy to pay $54,000 to live in America. They don’t have to do that. They can come for free by just crossing the border and getting food stamps, welfare, cell phone and vote Democrat.
