Drake Stadium vandalism

Where was the whole story on the school vandalism? Once again, the story was presented by one side, which disappoints me since it was provided from a newspaper that should be representing Coweta schools equally.
Senior pranks have been going on all over the United States for decades. As a matter of fact, the senior pranks of today are nothing compared to what traditional pranks were 30 years ago.
Why did the newspaper decide to omit Newnan High School students illegally trespassed onto East Coweta’s football field and forked it (littering) prior to the incident that took place at Drake Stadium? Where was the story of those students being charged as criminals? I didn’t know that only certain crimes made the paper?
I keep hearing about the $20,000 Cougar. Well, he didn’t look too damaged or missing in the nice picture they provided of him in the newspaper. When will our legal system and community recognize that a punishment should fit the crime? Yes, I agree that the damages should be taken care of, but criminal charges? Give me a break.
Are we a community so self-centered and “above this” that we are willing to damage a young person’s future because your school got pranked? These are not troubled teens. Just teens being teens. Require that they rectify the damage, but then get over it and move on.
I will be waiting to see the article and some equality in the treatment of those who broke the law from Newnan High School.
