Disasters and the left

For the left, everything is about politics.
When a disaster occurs, the left flies into action, turning it to their political advantage. Never mind that crises always hurt people.
Instead of seeing Katrina as the humanitarian disaster it was, Presidents Bush’s enemies turned it into a stick to beat him with.
Rahm Emanuel famously said, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
And why couldn’t you do them before, Rahm? Because the people didn’t want them. But in a crisis your kind always cynically exploits their desperation to get your agenda through.
The Obama Administration nearly lost sight of those murdered in Benghazzi in their scramble to keep Obama from looking bad. The non-Fox media hardly covered the crisis at all because there was absolutely no way it could help their man.
Some believe Hurricane Sandy may have helped Obama win the election.
So now we’re still governed by power-hungry sociopaths who care nothing for people or their tragedies except as pawns in their game. Pseudo-journalist Chris Matthews is ecstatic.
I knew the left was happy about Hurricane Sandy, hoping it could be made to help Obama, but I never dreamed one of them would actually blurt the secret out.

Matthews recently seems to have lost his moorings.

He practically thanked God for Sandy and spilled out what are probably the true feelings of many liberals: “I’m so glad we had that storm last week because I think the storm was one of those things. No, politically I should say. Not in terms of hurting people. The storm brought in possibilities for good politics.”

Good politics for these people means increasing their power at whatever cost to others.
