Where is integrity, honesty?

Where has our integrity, honesty and morality gone? I’ve been reading the local comments of people in our town and following the news on television.
The mixed signals sent by many — such as pull our men out of Afghanistan, the murder of our ambassador, the insistence of the administration that it was a movie that started the troubles — all set me to wonder what has happened to our nation.
When I was young, I thought I knew it all. As I’ve grown older, I have learned a great deal about mankind. I have seen mankind turn his back on God. We chose to worship new gods like money, pleasure and other temporal material things. No longer do we attend church or even dress up for its events.
We elect leaders who lie and cheat and think nothing of it. We’re too busy looking after ourselves to worry about our neighbors, too busy to investigate those who would be our leaders.
Our people were smarter in the 1950s and 1960s than the people of today. We wouldn’t be fooled by the foolishness played out in Washington over the past four years. We are not a socialist country. Our forefathers built this country on the premise that everyone pulls their weight and have sought to bring freedom to a world suffering from tyrants and corrupt governments. We became great with our belief in the Christian God, Jesus Christ, yet we have not discriminated against those who worship foreign gods.

Are you willing to surrender your future to false leaders and foreign gods? This November, read your history books, the Constitution and its Bill of Rights. But, most of all, read the Bible. It tells you who God is and what He has promised us.
