Happy Mother's Day – thanks for your love

Today is Mother’s Day, a time when we celebrate this group of extraordinary people who have been so instrumental in what we are today. It’s a day of love, respect, admiration and memories. As we honor mothers on this special day, we also reflect on the memory of those who have passed away. It’s a time when we should renew our commitment to living the values mothers cultivated in us.
As we reflected on this Mother’s Day, we did some reading and came up with appropriate quotations to give us insight into mothers:
— A mother is a person who, seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. -- Tenneva Jordan
— Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs ... since the payment is pure love. -- Mildred B. Vermont
— Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever. -- author unknown
— All mothers are working mothers. -- author unknown
— Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. -- Marion C. Garretty
— Mother ... that was the bank where we deposited all our hurts and worries. -- T. DeWitt Talmage
— God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers. -- Jewish Proverb
— I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life. -- Abraham Lincoln
— Mother, the ribbons of your love are woven around my heart. -- author unknown
— A mom’s hug lasts long after she lets go. -- author unknown
— A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. -- Washington Irving
Happy Mother’s Day.
