Tuesday the big day at 745 Poplar Road

Tuesday is the big day in Newnan and Coweta County. It’s a day residents of this community have anticipated for a long, long time. On Tuesday, Piedmont Newnan Hospital will be open in its new, magnificent building at 745 Poplar Road.
This historic milestone means our community has a new, state-of-the-art hospital that should make all of us proud.
When Piedmont Healthcare bought Newnan Hospital, our community was promised a new hospital and improved health care. Piedmont has delivered on that promise. In fact, we have heard many people say Piedmont delivered in an even greater manner than might have been expected.
Piedmont’s commitment to Newnan and Coweta County by making this hospital become a reality required much teamwork -- by the Piedmont team and by others in this community who have made contributions to enhance the new hospital.
Two weeks ago, after the state hospital licensing board paid a visit and granted the new Piedmont Newnan Hospital a license to operate, an exuberant CEO Michael Bass said, “Today I had the humbling privilege to witness the results of the greatest teamwork effort I have experienced in my career.”
Bass went on to proclaim: “Piedmont Newnan rocks!”
Indeed.
