Leave life with good name

If I live to March 29 I have lived 75 years and know that not many people make it much more than that.
The point I wish to make is, I can’t go back and relive those 75 years. If I made a mess out of my life, I can start making sure from here on out I do all that I can to go out into eternity with a good name. People can get all tangled up in life, but if they have faith in God, He can get them untangled.
A person can go inside a room and place all his treasures on one side of the room, and then he can stand on the opposite side. The treasures on the left will still be in that room when the person passes into eternity. However, it’s more important to leave this life with a good name, which speaks of our character before God.
All of us will go out into eternity some day. When it will take place, we have no idea. I happen to believe it is appointed unto man once to die, then we will face a holy and righteous Lord God Almighty. If this isn’t correct, then I haven’t lost a thing because I will die someday anyway. Ask yourself, Is your time at hand? David said in Psalm 31:15, “My times are in thy hand.”
If we leave this life without knowing God’s plan of salvation, then we have lived a life of emptiness.
