Leadership has strayed

President Obama has so far been successful in splitting the Republic and political parties.
He recently stated that America is not a deadbeat nation. I agree with those words. What he failed to mention was that he and Congress have created a nation of deadbeats. His leadership and the leadership of Congress have strayed from the principles that made the USA the greatest and strongest country in the history of mankind.
If you are younger than about 50 years old, you know very little of freedom and the lack of cradle-to-grave government interference in your lives. Ask any of us who lived free which is better, big controlling government or living free from oppressive government. The younger generation has been slowly indoctrinated into believe that the way we are is the way things are supposed to be. If factually correct history was being taught in government schools, they would know there is a better way.
The Second Amendment does not mention hunting or sport shooting. Records plainly show this amendment was important enough to be number two. Also, a militia is the regular populace and, most importantly, it is to protect us from an oppressive government. Chicago, a city where guns were banned years ago, had more murders last year than coalition forces killed in Afghanistan. The Center for Disease Control, after studying the myriad of gun laws, decided none had any effect on reducing crime.

Unless more caring people become involved and elect a new Congress and president who leaves his ego and un-American ideas out of his agenda, I believe our way of the good free life is lost. I am sure aware this country is in deep trouble as to the debt. Current spending and borrowing is not sustainable. Write Congress and demand better of them.
