Mr. Eric Veal, age 64, of Newnan, GA, died Feb. 23, 2013, at his home after an illness of several weeks. He was born in Newnan on August 14, 1948. His parents were the late A. D. and Betty Veal.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear wife, Tony, in October of last year. Eric had worked his adult life for Georgia Power at Plant Yates where he was an operations team leader.
Eric is survived by his children, Kerrie Veal Dukes, Matthew Eric (Sunny Laree) Veal and Brian David (Mandi Lynne) Veal. Delightful to his life were his grandchildren Carson Jacob Dukes, Abbigail Caroline Veal, Amelia Cate Veal and Madelyn Elizabeth Veal. His brother is Scott Veal.
The memorial service will be held at McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, Tuesday at 4 p.m. with Dr. Harry Barrow officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The American Cancer Society.
