Mr. Marvin J. Steele
Mr. Marvin J. Steele, age 71, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born June 29, 1941, in Carroll County to the late Mr. Harvey Lee Steele and Mrs. Helen Turner Steele.
He worked in the maintenance department at Bonnell for more than 30 years and attended Trinity Baptist Church in Newnan.
Survivors include son, Barry Steele of Carrollton; daughter, Sharon Baker of Panama City, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Janice Davis of Carrollton; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Russ Smith of Moultrie; step-daughter Jean Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Walter Driver of Carrollton; sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a special friend, Ruth Bass Steele.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Rick Duncan and Jerome Mitchell officiating. Interment was planned in the Shady Grove Cemetery with the AmVet Post #143 performing the flag ceremony.
The family received friends Sunday, March 3,  from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
