Mr. Paul Vernon Smith
Obituary
Mr. Paul Vernon Smith, of Carrollton, Ga., died August 4, 2008. He lived in Newnan, Ga., for many years. Mr. Smith was born on January 25, 1924, in Colfax, North Carolina, to the late Hugh Patrick Smith and Jennie Blanche Crutchfield Smith. He was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, and his son, Hugh Grammer Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired Delta Air Lines pilot. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Frances Gene Smith; son, Martin Smith; daughter-in-law, Ann Smith; grandchildren, Christina Smith and Paul Smith; and a sister, Carrie Hiatt of Colfax, North Carolina. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 6 - 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan. A memorial service will held Thursday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. in the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel. Rev.
