Obituary
Ms. Shawnee Melinda Bassett Parrott, 48, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, in Fayetteville, Ga. Shawnee was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie L. Bassett, and her brother, Johnny Bassett Jr.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Sonny Floyd Jr.; mother, Myrtle Bassett Johnson; brothers, Larry and Debbie Bassett and James and Christy Johnson; her sister, Cindy and Kenny Baker; nieces, Stacey Bassett, Christina Bassett, and Felisha Warr; and nephews, Christopher Bassett, Trey Baker, and Garrett Baker; and her companion, Steve Chapman. The family was receiving friends on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 431 SW Broad St., Fairburn GA, 30213.
Services honoring Shawnee Parrott were held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. with Reverend Danny Spencer officiating.
