Mr. John Lee Byrd Mr. John Lee Byrd, 86, of Newnan, Ga., passed away on Monday Nov. 10, 2008. He was born in Vidalia, Ga., to the late Andrew and Shellie Byrd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Watts Byrd. Mr. Byrd is survived by his guardian, Beverly Byrd Lloyd, and her husband, Robert, of Solon, OH. Also surviving are his son, Warren Byrd of Newnan, GA; brother, Jessie Mitchell of Akron, OH; sister, Inez Calhoun of Vidalia, GA; brother, Huey Byrd of Pensacola, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.mckoon.com. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. at Wesley-Woods Chapel in Newnan, GA. The family will greet friends on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 11 a.m. until the service time at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. The funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Stafford Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan, GA.
