Mr. George F. Aldridge Mr. George F. Aldridge, age 90, of Newnan, Ga., died at Healthfield Hospice on Feb. 7, 2009. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on Jan. 24, 1919, to the late James E. Aldridge and Elizabeth Feist Aldridge. Mr. Aldridge served his country in the United States Air Force in both World War II and the Korean War from 1940 to 1952. He earned the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars and the American Defense Service Medal. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburg Steel. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Anna Marie Stettler Aldridge, three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his wife, Shirley J. Monat Morgart Aldridge of Newnan; son, James F. Aldridge of Dayton, Ohio; daughters and their husbands, Margaret and John Almonte of Wintersville, Ohio, Gail and Tom Morgart of Newnan, and Shirl and James White of Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren, Christina Almonte, Stephanie Almonte Doyle, Kimi Morgart Cater, Nicole Morgart Harbin, Sam Morgart, Rachel White, Brian White; great-grandchildren, Anna Doyle and Michael Harbin. Online condolences may be sent to the family at Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wintersville, OH, with interment to follow at Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Mosti Funeral Home in Steubenville, Ohio, on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, Newnan, Ga.
