Death Notices

Robert H. Ashley, 70, of Brooks, died January 16, 2010, at his residence. The family will receive friends today, January 17, at McKoon Funeral Home, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Emmer Lee Benning, 91, formerly of Senoia, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Christian City Convalescent Home in Union City. Funeral services will be held today, January 17, at 1 p.m. at Greater Pine View Pure Holiness Church, Senoia. Instate viewing will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held immediately following funeral in the church cemetery. A viewing was held Saturday, January 16, at Roscoe Jenkins Funeral home from 2-6 p.m.

Jessie James Cook, 81, of Newnan, died on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Fairburn Healthcare Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home.

Irene Harrington, 95, of Carrollton, died on January 15, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Janurary 18, at 1 p.m. at the Bowdon Church of Christ. Burial will follow the funeral services at Herren's Grove Cemetery in Randolph County, Ala. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, January 17, from 3 until 6 p.m. Rainwater Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Lucille McDuffie, 84, of Grantville, Ga., died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Sewell Mortuary Inc., Grantville, Ga.

Willie H. Render, of Newnan, Ga., died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home Inc., Newnan.

Homegoing celebration for Mother Emmie Wheat, 87, of Fairburn, will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010, at 1 p.m. from the St. John AME Church in Fairburn, with remains placed instate at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Garden Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4-7 p.m. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Sellers-Smith Funeral Home.

Virginia Jones Robinson, 81, of Newnan, Ga., died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at her home. The funeral is Sunday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan. Burial is in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mary Wright, of Newnan, died on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at her residence. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Sellers-Smith Funeral Home.
