Death Notices
George Henry Coursey, 77, of Newnan, died at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on November 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held today, November 15, at 2 p.m. at the Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday.
Lois Davis, of Newnan, died on November 12, 2009, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home.
Samuel Walker Freeman Jr., 81, of Roswell, Ga., died on November 13, 2009, after a brief illness. Graveside services will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Roswell, Ga. Visitation with the family will be from 3-5 p.m. today, Nov. 15, at Northside Chapel in Roswell.
John Powell "JP" Smith, 64, died Friday, November 13, 2009, at his home in Newnan. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Tuesday November 17, at 11 a.m.
