Erwin James "Doc" Eldridge Jr., 84, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at Beech Haven Baptist Church in Athens. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens.
Willene Winkles Pierce, 72, of Newnan, Ga., died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29 in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, Hogansville.
Robert Merion Rooker Sr., age 86, of Newnan, Ga., died at Southland Health and Rehabilitation on Oct. 27, 2009. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, Newnan. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Oct. 29, 6-8 p.m.
Flonnie Mae Pollard Teate of Fairburn, Ga., 97, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Dogwood Nursing Home, Fairburn. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Nancy Carol Williams, 68, of Christian City and formerly of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1 at Bethel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 until 5 Saturday afternoon, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
Marilyn Payne Woodward, 57, of Hogansville, Ga., died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29 at Luthersville Baptist Church, with burial in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, Hogansville.
