Mr. Howard Moody Todd
Mr. Howard Moody Todd, age 93, passed away on June 21, 2013.
He was preceded in death by Ann Todd, his wife of 50 years; his second wife of 17 years, Montene Caldwell Todd; and his sister, Marie Moore.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ruth Beaucham of Newnan; daughter, Sharon Spofford (Paul) of Richmond, VA; and son, John H. Todd (Peggy) of Hoschton, GA; his five grandchildren whom he loved dearly - Brian Manning (Donna) of Alpharetta, Ashley Kohler (Michael) of Atlanta, Shelly Manning of Richmond, VA, Jason Todd (Brooke) of Lawrenceville and Lisa Desmond (Mike) of Baton Rouge, LA. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Brett, Olivia and Chet Manning; Aiden, Connor and Brody Desmond; Ansley Todd; and Vaughn Kohler.
Born in Haralson and a life-long member of Mt. Pilgram Lutheran Church, he lived most of his life in Senoia. He proudly served in the 44th Division of the U.S. Army in France, Germany and England during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal. He retired after 30 years with Ford Motor Company.
The family gives its deepest gratitude to the nurses and caretakers at Emory’s Budd Terrace in Atlanta for their kind and loving care over the last 6 1/2 years. A graveside service will be held at Senoia Cemetery on Friday, July 5 at 11 a.m.
