Mr. C. V. 'Shorty' Hendrix

Mr. C.V. “Shorty” Hendrix, 85, of Grantville, GA, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Hendrix was born July 19, 1927, in Ranburne, AL, son of the late John Thomas Hendrix and Lela Fullilove Hendrix. He lived in Coweta County most of his life, was Baptist by faith, and was a retired roofing contractor.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Clark Hornsby of Camden, SC, Joyce Johnson of Columbia, SC, Patsy and Jimmy Hubbard of Hogansville; sons and daughter-in-law, Roger and Margie Hendrix, James Hendrix, and Johnny Hendrix, all of Newnan; sister, Helen Mae Buchanan of Newnan; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Steele Hendrix.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 4 in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Rev. Milton Hall will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
