Mr. Harry M. Robertson
Mr. Harry M. Robertson, age 80, of the Raymond Community, died April 23, 2013, at Atlanta Medical Center of complications from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Coweta County, he was born August 14, 1932, and was one of six children born to the late Samuel L. Robertson Sr. and Martha Christine Martin Robertson.
After high school, Harry served his country in the United States Army. He was employed for 36 years with the William L. Bonnell Co. in the die shop. He was a loyal member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church.
In his free hours, Harry could be found in the great outdoors. He loved to garden, fish or hunt — anything that involved outside activities.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Justiss Robertson; his sons, Scott Robertson, Chip Robertson, Denny Robertson and his wife Carol. His grandchildren are Ryan Robertson, Katlyn Robertson, Caleb Robertson and Faith Robertson. Also surviving are his siblings, Charles Robertson, Leroy Robertson, Betty R. Brown, Evelyn R. Smith and Linda Caldwell.
The funeral service to honor his life will be on Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson St. Officiating will be Reverend Ken Hamilton and Reverend Dan Dixon.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Robertson, Caleb Robertson, Chad Caldwell, Joey Smith, Larry Robertson, Sam Robertson and David Brown.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening at the funeral home between 6 and 8 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church cemetery. Flowers are welcomed or those who may wish to do so may make contributions in Mr. Robertson’s name to The American Red Cross.
