Mr. Philip Thomson

Mr. Philip Thomson, age 87, of Newnan, died at Doctor's Hospice August 7, 2014. He was born on Dec. 4, 1926, to the late Albert Thomson and Lily Rose Best Thomson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jane Conway Thomson. He served in the U.S. Army and then was employed by Florida Power and Light.

Surviving are his son, Philip Thomson of Florida, and daughters, Kathryn Miller of Newnan and Carol Banks (Tim) of Peachtree City; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginshillcrestchapel.com.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Father Dan Hale officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Friday, 6-8 p.m.
