Mr. Charles Richard Johnson Sr.

Mr. Charles Richard Johnson Sr., age 76, of Sharpsburg, GA, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2014. 

Mr. Johnson retired after 26 years of service as a bus driver for MARTA. He was the president of the retirees club for MARTA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Dean Johnson; sister, Mary Helen Smith; and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Joyce Williams Johnson; children, Charles R. Johnson Jr. of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, Patricia Annette Brooks and her husband Jeff of Newnan, Angela Marie Borth of Woodstock; grandchildren, Christopher Beau Cotter and his wife Amanda, Taylor Charles Johnson and his wife Summer, Jacob Maxwell Borth; great-grandson, Christopher Daniel Cotter.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan, GA.
