Mrs. Barbara Ellen Caldwell Lyon

Mrs. Barbara Ellen Caldwell Lyon passed away on Thursday morning, July 17, 2014. Her parents were the late Raymond Martin Caldwell and Mary France Holston Caldwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Julius Wayne Lyon. During her working career she was employed by NCR and Playtex. Barbara was always ready for an adventure and loved to take trips to Alabama. She also enjoyed looking for arrowheads. Her other interests were bingo - one card was never enough - and her grandchildren. She is survived by her children Eleanor (and husband Scott) Wharton and David (and wife Marcia) Lyon. Her surviving siblings are Esther Brown, Ivalyn Turner and Carol Zamboni. Nothing compared to the joy of her 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home and 38 Jackson Street. The family was receiving friends on Saturday evening between 6 and 8 p.m. The memorial service was on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the McKoon Funeral Home chapel.
