Mrs. Loretta Allison

Loretta Hughes Nickelson Allison, 80, of Sharpsburg, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, from a long illness.

She was born April 7, 1934, in Sinking Creek, Virginia, and graduated from Mayfield High School in 1952. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Hallie Hughes.

Her husband, Buddy Nickelson, and her sisters, Ileta Huffman, Sally Patton and Eva Saunders, preceded her in death.

She is survived by current husband, Thomas Monroe Allison of Peachtree City; daughter, Cindy Greene and husband Don Greene of Sharpsburg; and two grandchildren, Heather and Brandon Greene; son, Bob Nickelson and wife Merry Nickelson of Sharpsburg; and two grandchildren, Ray and Bethany Nickelson; and a brother, Gene Hughes and wife Jo from Salem, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Peachtree City Christian Church, where she has been a member for over 30 years. Dr. George Dillard will officiate.
