Mr. Edward Lee Helton

Mr. Edward Lee Helton, age 80, of Newnan, died at Avalon Nursing and Rehabilitation on June 18, 2014. He was born in Newnan on Nov. 6, 1933, to the late Ezra William Helton and Alma Johnson Helton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Taylor Helton, and son, Tennis Helton. He loved singing, preaching, playing the piano, and pickin' the guitar.

Surviving are his sons, Jerry Helton (Renatha), Terry "Tank" Helton (Jenny), Eddie Helton (Barbara), Ted Helton (Glenda) and Johnny Helton (Beverly), all of Newnan; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
