Mr. James Sidney Rickard

Mr. James Sidney Rickard, 94, of Fayetteville, passed away June 11, 2014. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He then worked as an air traffic controller for the FAA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Wilson Rickard. He is survived by his daughters, Anne (Randy) Hayes of Fayetteville and Susan (Randy) Mayfield of Sharpsburg; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, John R. Rickard of Colorado Springs, CO; and 9 nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 14 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Scott Harp, Nick Adams and Steve Kepley will officiate. The burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
