Mrs. Jeanette Barns Jackson

Mrs. Jeanette Barns Jackson, age 92, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, under hospice care in Fayetteville, GA. She was born Feb. 6, 1922, to the late Levie E. Barns and Ruby Thompson Barns.

Along with her parents Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband Joe P. Jackson, and siblings Helen Barns Hardman, Brice Barns, Howard Lee Barns, Virginia Guy and Joyce Barns Sexton.

Jeanette is survived by her longtime caregiver and niece Debra Sexton, great-niece Shannon Zerangue, sister Mildred Lord, close family friend Robert Mote and numerous nieces and nephews.

The visitation is Friday, June 13, from 6 until 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, GA. The graveside service is Saturday, June 14 at 2 p.m. at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington, GA, with Rev. Mike Ayeres officiating.
