Mrs. Julia Trammell
Mrs. Julia Estes Trammell, of Moreland, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at her home.
Born September 26, 1916, in Coweta County, Mrs. Trammell was the daughter of the late Henry Mitchell Estes and Claudia Strength Estes.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of Luthersville Baptist Church, where she served as church organist for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 77 years, Charlie W. Trammell of Moreland; sons, Wayne Trammell and his wife, Sue, of Moreland, Richard Trammell and his friend, Betsy, of Albany; grandchildren, Wesley Trammell and his wife, Leigh, of Moreland, Mark Trammell and his wife, Mary, of Atlanta, Michael Trammell and his wife, Michelle, of Albany, and Jena Shell and her husband, Charlie, of Birmingham, AL; and great-grandchildren, Dalton Trammell, Jake Trammell and Camden Trammell of Moreland, Rosemarie Trammell of Atlanta, Chip Shell, Trammell Shell, and Julia Shell, all of Birmingham.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 13 at the graveside in the Luthersville Cemetery with the Reverend Winston Skinner officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday.
