Mr. W. Lamar Mathis Jr.

Mr. W. Lamar Mathis Jr. was born Jan. 20, 1944, in Atlanta and passed on Jan. 14, 2014, at his residence in Sharpsburg, GA. He was a Teamster's Union leader for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his mother, Myrtle Mathis; two sisters; two brothers; two daughters; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street in Newnan, GA, on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m.
