Mr. Franklin Dillard Taylor

Mr. Franklin Dillard Taylor, known to all as Frankie, died Jan. 6, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center following a long illness.

A native of Newnan, GA, he was born Jan. 13, 1942, and was the son of the late Huel and Bessie Mae Kee 'Doodle' Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; brothers, Royce, Gary and Donnie; his son, Gary.

Frankie had enlisted in the United States Army, but ultimately served in The National Guard. At the time of his retirement, he was a plant superintendent for CKS, a plastics manufacturing company.

He is survived by his children, Karen Williams and husband Aubrey of Dadeville and Tina Rivers and husband John of Auburn. His surviving siblings are Patricia Stancill, Dewayne Taylor, Connie England and Betty Haynes.

There are five grandchildren and one great grandchild. His family will remember his life on Wednesday, Jan. 8 in a service conducted by Jamey Williams in the McKoon Funeral Home chapel. Friends and family will gather beginning at 2 p.m., with the service beginning at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www. mckoon.com .
