Mrs. Frances Annette Hines Brumbach
Mrs. Frances Annette Hines Brumbach, age 97, of Tyrone, GA (formerly of East Point, GA), died Dec. 6, 2013. Frances was born in Leesburg, GA, on Oct. 27, 1916, to the late Marsh and Minnie Hines.
She graduated from Georgia State Woman’s College (now known as Valdosta State University) and enjoyed a rewarding career as a third grade teacher.
Frances, known affectionately as Mema, was a much beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A classic Southern lady, Frances was known for her loving and gracious spirit and her love for children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Brumbach. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Brumbach Gardner; grandchildren, Jennifer Rocco (Dan), Rick Gardner (Betsy), Andrew Gardner (Jennifer); and her great-grandchildren, Asher, Ansel, and Ariadne Rocco, Zachary Gardner, Maddox, Gracie, and Liam Gardner.
The funeral service will be held at The Cathedral of Christ the King in Sharpsburg, GA, on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. with Bishop David Epps officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, GA following the service.
The visitation will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 5-7 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to The Cathedral of Christ the King.
