Mrs. Sandra Hayes Banks

Mrs. Sandra Hayes Banks, age 65, of Sharpsburg, GA, died at her residence on Nov. 18, 2013. 

She was born in Newnan on Jan. 31, 1948, to Marvin Hayes Sr. and Mary Lucy Jacobs Hayes. She lived in Coweta County her entire life. 

She was predeceased by her father and her son, James Richard Banks Jr. (Richie). Sandra was retired from NCR in purchasing. Surviving are her mother, Lucy Hayes; daughter, Kim Staples (Jonathan) of Newnan; brothers, Marvin Hayes Jr., Gayron Hayes, and David Thompson all of Newnan; sisters, Mary Ann Warren (Gene) of Rome, GA and Barbara Ann Trotter of Greenwood, SC; nieces and nephews. 

She will be missed by her beloved pet, Bazil (pug). Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginshillcrestchapel@numail.org . 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association or the National Stroke Association.
