Mr. John Thomas (Tommy) Young

Mr. John Thomas (Tommy) Young, age 82, of Palmetto, GA, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

He was born in Tupelo, MS, to the late Lillian Olivia Hall and the late John Meredith Young. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and was self-employed as a barber for over 50 years. In addition, he assisted his wife in the child care business.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Young and a sister, Jean Padgett. Survivors include: his wife, Frances Belcher Young; daughter, Carolyn Leski and son-in-law, Michael Leski of Newnan; two grandchildren, Justin and Hailey Leski of Newnan.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Holly Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ralph Bobo will officiate. Burial will follow at Floral Hill Cemetery in Palmetto. Family was receiving friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 431 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213.
